  1. I further note that Treasury has not redacted personal information recorded in submissions. I have written a complaint to Treasury, which read:

I wish to register a complaint about the release of email addresses and potentially other personal information via the online publishing of submissions to Exposure Draft — Currency (Restrictions on the Use of Cash) Bill. The publication of email addresses/street addresses/postal addresses/phone numbers is a clear violation of personal privacy. All personal data should be redacted. The harvesting of such personal data can lead to spamming and phishing as well as contributing to identity theft.

Treasury should be more careful about its use of the public’s personal data. I would like a reply, please.

  2. KPMG’s submission to Treasury has been moved from the individual alphabetised list to the organisational list. An innocent error or caught out? I wonder. The submission does look like one an individual might prepare. I am suspicious as to why an organisation would present as an individual.
