– I am particular interested in how financial stress has developed in the affluent suburbs in Melbourne & Sydney.
– I think ScoMo didn’t anticipate the kind of “financial turmoil” (we saw in the last say 2 to 3 months) when staged a “Palace Revolution” against Malcom Turnbull in 2018.
– I have a few questions: DFA makes a monthly map of how much stress there is. Are the latest maps available yet ? I saw one map for Melbourne on the latest Nucleus Wealth podcast with one Martin North !!
– DFA makes an estimate of how much households are risking default. Does DFA also track how much households are actually defaulting on their mortgage/loans ? In order to see whether DFA’s estimate of defaults was accurate or not ?
Yes on both fronts. I will publishing more info next week and maps – been flooded with data requests… suddenly everyone wants to know what the damage may be… We track defaults too.
