Domain released their preliminary results for today.
Canberra listed 69 auctions, reported 58 with 40 sold and 1 withdrawn and 18 passed in to give a Domain clearance of 68%.
Brisbane listed 88 auctions, reported 25 and sold 16 with 3 withdrawn and 9 passed in to give a Domain clearance of 57%.
Adelaide listed 79 and reported 49 with 38 sold, 5 withdrawn and 11 passed in to give a Domain clearance of 70%.
Now, my own calculations put the effective clearance rates much lower.
For example Brisbane listed 88 and sold 16, giving a DFA estimate of 18.2%, not 57%. This on the assumption that sold property will be reported with more vigor by agents compared with passed in properties.
