An excellent review of the data with a compelling narrative supporting the risk-on environment for 2019.
NZ data appears to be tracking Australia with about a 6 month lag time. This lag time may shortern depending how the bank majors react (85% NZ banking is the aussie majors). If push comes to shove and, bearing in mind the preliminary findings of the Commission, do you think the Aussie majors will sacrifice their NZ subsidiaries in order to remain solvent?
