The Cash Ban Skulduggery

The House of Reps passed the Cash Ban Bill today, despite the matter being referred previously to a Senate Inquiry with submissions open to the 15th November 2019. Robbie Barwick from the CEC and I discuss the implications.

There is still time to make a submission, and stop this from becoming law. Our civil liberties depend on it.

  1. Because I need to view your YouTube videos in a quiet environment, I turn the sound down and rely on the closed captions. Your latest video lost its captions about two thirds the way through so I couldn’t enjoy Robbie’s final rant.
There is a general problem with captions, some are hilariously wrong interpretations of the spoken word, but it just gets a bit tiresome after a while. Why can’t captions be read and edited by the producers before they go live?

      1. So.. ‘the system’ is not very helpful. On other YouTube videos (not yours) I have even received captions in a foreign language! Where does the system reside and how is it managed? Is there a responsible adult anywhere in the system?
