– In a previous video Joe Wilkes said that people who are retired will start spending less to make sure that they don’t run out of money during their retirement.
– In one regard retirees aren’t forced to spend less. Their circumstances have changed and that already will lead to a reduction in spending. E.g. a retiree doesn’t have to commute five days a week to and from work. And that already reduces his/her spending significantly (think e.g. train fares, gas/petrol, toll road fees, …….. ).
